Basalt mesh is composed of continuous yarns arranged symmetrically in horizontal and vertical, forming a mesh with various spacings racing from 5x5mm up to 50x50mm. It is useful as structural reinforcement on construction sites for walls, highway pavements, airports, harbor docks, bridges, footpaths, road slopes, embankments and any paving or covering. Reinforcing cutting discs with basalt meshes increase their reliability, safety and cutting performances.
The strength of basalt mesh is equal to that of metal reinforcement, but it is also 2.6 times lighter, simplifying transportation and handling in construction. Basalt meshes and grids are more durable than metal and fiberglass reinforcements due to the excellent performance of basalt fibers. Like all basalt items, basalt mesh and grids are environmentally safe materials.
