Continuous Basalt Fiber (CBF)


CBF has outstanding thermal properties and excellent mechanical and chemical features. In fact CBF is very strong and resistant, has high temperature resistance (-269 ~ 700 °C), lower moisture absorption, oxidation and corrosion resistance, excellent electric, thermal and sound insulation ability, long working-life with high performances. Compared to other common fibers, CBF has the highest mechanical performance/price ratio.

It is already widely and successfully applied to aviation, aerospace, shipping, composite, textile and asphalt industry, to building, insulation, chemical engineering and personal protective equipment from fire, chemicals and weapons. Therefore, CBF can be named as "the new material of 21 century".
